Vibrant Flat Fabios Sprays for a Colorful Journal Page

Hi Gang, it’s Solange Marques here and today I’m highlighting a product for Lindy’s Stamp Gang: Flat Fabios Sprays.

Flat Fabios sprays are perfect when you want a vibrant color without shimmer, just ink. They can be mixed with others mediums to get different textures with vibrant colors.

I’ve used Flat Fabios Sprays to create the colourful journal page below.

This is how I’ve created my art journal page.

I’ve used Caribbean BlueHibiscus RoseLuscious LimeMango ManiaPineapple Paradise and started by mixing the colours with modeling paste and resin sand.  Then I applied these textures on the butterflies stencil to create the background for my page.

To make custom embellishments, I spritzed Flat Fabios Spray in the same colors onto white cardstock. After this dried, I created butterflies by using modeling paste and a butterfly stencil.

Once dry I cut out the butterflies.

I then added the butterflies, stamps, and stickers on the textured art journal page.

Getting Grungy with The Boys & Natalie

Hi there,  Natalie here sharing a page I created using Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays
from the September Color Challenge set.  This is such a great combination and perfect for a Grungy Masculine Page featuring my husband and my best friend!

12472485_10208870888182175_529457199823034841_n

I decided to use three colors from the set for my page:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here are a few simple steps to create this page…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I started with a line using a Black Stabilo pencil then added some Molding Paste with a stencil. Once dry, I started layering my colors, watering down a little as I went and spreading them with a brush.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As it dried, I could see the different layers of color in the paper

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I then added some splatters in all three colors

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Once dry, I added stamping to create more layers and dimension

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I added some mesh tape & old rub ons along my horizon line

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Coloured the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard with a combinations of Green & Blue, added some wood veneers and string and added a tag under my photo

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And finished the page off with a few Imaginarium chevrons

Here are a few detail images of my page.

I have filmed a video to show you how easy it is to create this page…
You can view it on the Lindys Stamp Gang YouTube Channel.

Tips

  • Add water quickly after your spray – before it soaks in so that
you can spread it around a little
  • Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays soak right into Imaginarium Chipboard because it’s porous, so dry it between coats to ensure you get the color that you are after.

Mixed Media frame

Hello dear friends! It’s Ekaterina with you today, sharing my new project. I want to show you the photo frame background I’ve done with the help of  gesso and sprays Bombshell BlackFrolic In The ForestSilent Night Silver  and embossing powder Poppin’ Pink Embossing PowderPurely White.

1л

I used Poppin’ Pink Embossing Powder to create the background of the frame and added slightly muted black gesso on top.

2л

I created the label with Purely White embossing powder and I used the same embossing  powder to color the chipboard butterflies.

3л

I sprayed the edges of each flower with spray  Cotton Candy Pink.

4л

5л

Don’t the colors just pop against the black.

6л

Make sure you also color the back.

7л

The Lindy’s embossing powders create beautiful crisp stamped images.

10л

Embellish with some adhesive pearls to finish.

11л

15л

Add some crystals for a little bling, I’ve matched the color of the crystals to the pink of the embossing powder.

Create Stunning Texture on Pages with Cake Piping

Hello crafty friends!  KareenBH here today to show you a really nice technique that may seem hard to do at first, but that is actually really easy!

Do you know about cake piping?

That’s exactly what I am going to show you today, step by step using modelling paste!

LSG_3-01

What you need to create this handmade texture:

  • Modeling paste
  • A Ziploc bag or a real piping bag
  • A Spatula
  • Some Tape
  • Scissor
  • A brush
  • Water in a bowl AND in a spray bottle
  • Your Lindy’s Stamp Gang products (see my list below)

LSG3_T9-01

Lindy’s Stamp Gang products used:

LSG3_T11-01

The first thing to do is fill your plastic bag (or real piping bag) with modelling paste.

LSG3_T8-01

LSG3_T3-01

Once your bag is filled, push all the paste in one corner. Twist the bag and add tape to close the little pouch. « Taping » the end will help keep all the paste inside the bag.

LSG3_T12-01

Next step is super important. Cut an opening in the corner, CAREFULLY, you want a tiny tiny tiny hole. If it’s too tiny, you can cut off some more plastic, but if it’s too wide, you can’t add plastic to the bag haha.

LSG3_T10-01

Then, let your creativity out by piping your page! Flowers are always a good idea if you are not sure what to do.

LSG3_T5-01

Have you seen the amazing result? Honestly, anybody can do this!

LSG3_T6-01

After drying the modelling paste, it’s time to colour your art with Lindy’s products.

I love using Magical first to add differents pink/red colors. It’s subtle, but it’s there!

LSG3_T2-01

After, to harmonize everything, you can add some sprays.

LSG3_T4-01

Then, you will have a really nice background to create a stunning page. You can do this on a card or other projects.

LSG3_T7-01

LSG3_T13-01

Something more:

I have coloured my chipboard title only by spraying some Starburst spray on it.

This is super easy and fast! The result is gorgeous.
