Mixed Media Tags by Ekaterina Zenevich

Hello Lindy’s fans, it’s Ekaterina Zenevich with you today and I want to show you how I made these mixed media tags. I used the spray, magical, embossing powders.  You can see the step-by-step process in the video that I have created for you.

10

For the background I used black sprays Blazing Black and Frolic In The Forest. Then I sealed the background, so the next layers of paint did not mix.

11

I mixed the paste with magicals Hibiscus Rose and Luscious Lime and added this over the background for texture.

12

The stamped images are covered with embossing powder Clearly Clear.

13

I painted my cut-out flowers using Hibiscus Rose and Poppin’ Pink.

1415

I added color to the cardboard cutouts/chipboard using  Luscious Lime spray, which I painted on and then coated with Ghouly Goblin Green embossing powder.

I have filmed a video to show you how easy it is to create this page.  You can watch it below or on the Lindys Stamp Gang YouTube Channel.

Who can Resist a little Lindys….Easy Layout with Natalie

Hello again, Natalie here sharing another page I created using Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays from the September Color Challenge set.

I am still loving this color combination! Super easy to use!

12472485_10208870888182175_529457199823034841_n

I used a couple of colors from the set for my page plus one from my stash:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

To create this page, I used Marshmallow cardstock as my base and then used Gel Medium through a stencil over the plain card.  Once it is dry, it creates a cool resist so that when you add color, the pattern stays white! Cool stuff!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Before I started with the sprays, I did a little test to make sure the colors all
worked in well together and then started spraying!  Starting at the top of the page,
add the first color, then the second one quickly and use a water spray to dilute
it a little and help it drip down the page. Tilt the paper as you need and dry in
between layers to get an awesome depth of color.  I just kept on layering my
colors until I was happy with the coverage and the final color.  So easy!

Here are a few detail shots of the page!

I have filmed a video to show you how easy it is to create this page.  You can watch it below or on the Lindys Stamp Gang YouTube Channel.

Tips

  • Add water quickly after your spray – before it soaks in so that
you can spread it around a little
  • Test your colors before you start to make sure the spray is working great and to make sure the colors are exactly what you are after!

Spray Test and Canvas With Cindy Brown

Hi Gang, it’s Cindy here today and I’m testing the four different  Lindy’s Sprays and then using them to create a beautiful custom Lace Canvas .

finish-project-with-sprays-2

First I tested the 4 types of Lindy’s Sprays on different papers to see how they look on different backgrounds – black, textured, paper and yupo.

finish-test

Basic Technique

  1. The first test is on a black paper. I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER).   I was surprised that you can actually see all the sprays on black card, though mostly just the shimmer color. little-b-test
  2. The second test is on a watercolor paper or I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER).   The colors are bright and true on watercolor paper – they look perfect!

  3. The third test is on a mixed media paper or I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER).  Each of the sprays look wonderful on the Mixed Media Paper as well!.  Each of the sprays looks wonderful on the Mixed Media Paper as well!mixed-media-paper-test
  4. The fourth test is on a Yupo paper I used Lindy’s Sprays : STARBURSTS (SHIMMER & INK) – FLAT FABIOS (INK ONLY) – MOON SHADOWS (VINTAGE SHIMMER) – GLITZ SPRITZ (JUST SHIMMER).  The sprays took longer to dry on the Yupo so they ended up with interesting little drying marks and patterns.yupo-paper-test
  5. Here is the final result, the sprays look different depending on the surface you spray them onto – but are always beautiful!

You can see my tests in this video :

Now it’s time to create a Beautiful Canvas. I used all the same Sprays  that I tested to make my Lace Canvas.

  1. Cover frame with Tape and Washi Tape.

  2. Glue on beautiful Lace for texture.

Vibrant Flat Fabios Sprays for a Colorful Journal Page

Hi Gang, it’s Solange Marques here and today I’m highlighting a product for Lindy’s Stamp Gang: Flat Fabios Sprays.

Flat Fabios sprays are perfect when you want a vibrant color without shimmer, just ink. They can be mixed with others mediums to get different textures with vibrant colors.

I’ve used Flat Fabios Sprays to create the colourful journal page below.

Art_Journal_Page_by_Solange_Marques_using_Lindy's_Stamp_Gang_Flat_Fabios_Sprays_01

This is how I’ve created my art journal page.

I’ve used Caribbean BlueHibiscus RoseLuscious LimeMango ManiaPineapple Paradise and started by mixing the colours with modeling paste and resin sand.  Then I applied these textures on the butterflies stencil to create the background for my page.

Art_Journal_page_by_Solange_Marques_using_Lindy's_Stamp_Gang_Flat_Fabios_Sprays_02

To make custom embellishments, I spritzed Flat Fabios Spray in the same colors onto white cardstock. After this dried, I created butterflies by using modeling paste and a butterfly stencil.

Art_Journal_page_by_Solange_Marques_using_Lindy's_Stamp_Gang_Flat_Fabios_Sprays_02

Once dry I cut out the butterflies.

I then added the butterflies, stamps, and stickers on the textured art journal page.

Getting Grungy with The Boys & Natalie

Hi there,  Natalie here sharing a page I created using Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays
from the September Color Challenge set.  This is such a great combination and perfect for a Grungy Masculine Page featuring my husband and my best friend!

12472485_10208870888182175_529457199823034841_n

I decided to use three colors from the set for my page:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Here are a few simple steps to create this page…

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I started with a line using a Black Stabilo pencil then added some Molding Paste with a stencil. Once dry, I started layering my colors, watering down a little as I went and spreading them with a brush.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As it dried, I could see the different layers of color in the paper

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I then added some splatters in all three colors

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Once dry, I added stamping to create more layers and dimension

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I added some mesh tape & old rub ons along my horizon line

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Coloured the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard with a combinations of Green & Blue, added some wood veneers and string and added a tag under my photo

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And finished the page off with a few Imaginarium chevrons

Here are a few detail images of my page.

I have filmed a video to show you how easy it is to create this page…
You can view it on the Lindys Stamp Gang YouTube Channel.

Tips

  • Add water quickly after your spray – before it soaks in so that
you can spread it around a little
  • Lindys Stamp Gang Sprays soak right into Imaginarium Chipboard because it’s porous, so dry it between coats to ensure you get the color that you are after.
